Thomas Sauerhoefer is one of Northern California's most respected professional dog trainers, with over 30 years of hands-on experience training German Shepherds and working dogs of all breeds. His expertise spans basic obedience, advanced off-leash training, behavior correction, Schutzhund sport, and personal protection dog development.
Born and raised with a deep passion for working dogs, Thomas has competed at the highest levels of Schutzhund (now IPO/IGP) and has trained dogs that have gone on to serve as police K9s, personal protection dogs, and elite sport competitors. His training philosophy is rooted in clear communication, consistency, and building a genuine bond between dog and owner.
